THERE ARE MANY REASONS TO CHOOSE AN ELECTRIC FIRE
Another important benefit of electric fires is that some of the models don’t require a chimney, meaning they can be installed on a flat wall. Some of the more modern wide ‘letter box’ style fires do have some depth to them – ranging from 170mm to 300mm. These models do require a false chimney breast to be built around them. This can be built from just wood and plasterboard, ready to be skimmed over with plaster afterwards.
Sticking with the theme of convenience, electric fires are generally controlled by a remote control for the heating and flame effects. The newer models often use LED lighting, meaning it costs just pennies to use the fire with the light effect only. LED lights come in a range of colours meaning you can enjoy a choice of colours including orange, red and even green, pink or lilac.
